Timing Hacks

• Vietnam e-Visa Warning: Do not leave this to T-3 days. The Vietnamese immigration portal is notoriously glitchy, experiences frequent payment gateway crashes, and goes offline for local national holidays. Apply **at least 15-20 days out**.
• Bank Card Calls: If you use a standard Indian debit card (HDFC, ICICI, SBI), call their helpline or log in to netbanking to explicitly enable **international transactions**, ATM withdrawals, and online purchases. Many banks block international usage by default to prevent fraud.
• Printed Copies: Immigration officers at land borders are old-school. They want physical printed papers. Do not rely on showing a PDF on your phone screen — print at least 2 physical copies of all visas and flight tickets.
