Day 1: Land, Settle, Hit a Northwest Beach

If the Full Moon falls inside your trip and you want the bucket-and-brakelight scene, the island delivers in a way no other stop on the Gulf does. The mistake is treating Koh Phangan as a one-night stop between Koh Tao and Koh Samui.
