Getting Around Cambodia
Cambodia’s bus network is the cheapest way between cities (full buses & budget guide); flights only make sense for Phnom Penh to Siem Reap when you’ve got zero time. Giant Ibis and Mekong Express are the two operators worth booking in advance on the Phnom Penh. Siem Reap route. Trains exist in theory but the network is mostly closed. Border crossings into Thailand (Poipet, Koh Kong) and Vietnam (Bavet, Prek Chak) are run-of-the-mill, just bring USD for the visa and a passport photo.
